I need everyone's help...

I'm not the most religious dude in the world, but my little dog Pippy got hit by a car this past evening and she could use some prayers right now. So whatever Deity you pray to, please say a couple kind words for the Pipsqueak.

If you don't have a Deity, then some good vibes would be in order. She's currently heavily sedated, awaiting X-rays tomorrow AM. She's 4 1/2 lbs versus a car...she's gonna need it.

She's a good dog. Very sweet. She doesn't deserve this. So help her out.

UPDATE: We got a call from the vet this morning. She is not paralyzed. She is actually wagging her tail this morning and the lack of feeling and movement last night was a product of shock. That being said, the x-rays showed that she did quite a number on her pelvis...she rammed her femur right through it. We have a sugical option. We can take her to Sturgis (the same place, incidentally, where my parents' dog had his ACL fixed) and they will do something to fix both her femur and her pelvis. It's going to cost a fortune. So that's where we are.

UPDATE: We went to visit Pippy this afternoon and were absolutely amazed. Not a single bone (other than the part of the Pelvis where the femur meets it) was broken. NOTHING. She has to go to surgery in Sturgis, SD in the near future but the Vet believes that she'll be coming home with us before that. The surgeon is apparently going to cut off a portion of the femur that is protruding and the pelvis will fix itself. Then, scar tissue will form and she may be a little gimpy and an inch shorter on one side, but she'll be fairly normal when it all ends. We've always thought she may be part cat and if she is, she just used 8 of her 9 lives in one place.

Thanks. For now, they seemed to have worked.

I'm so glad that things are looking up for Pippy. She sounds like a great little dog/cat.

I'm so happy you're little buddy's going to be ok. For some reason, it's harder for me to watch animals sick or injured than people.

So sorry to hear about Pippy. I'm very relieved that she's doing well.
