Ok, so you've probably noticed the new header...
Julie Neidlinger from Lone Prairie (another outstanding North Dakota blogger and talent) produced the image for me using her rather iconic sketch cartoons that I find so amusing. I look at the image (and I'm sure some of you do too) and wonder how someone can come up with a work of art that is so perfect for the site and think that it must have included a long, burdensome exchange between her and I. Well, people, you don't understand how easy she made it for me.
I go to her blog on a regular basis and I check out her latest art projects each time I go. I have always loved the cartoons on her site and I asked whether she would be willing to do something for my site a couple months ago. She emailed me a few times with examples. We collaborated on which of the images I liked the most and the VERY basic color schemes that she was thinking of using. The basis for the image she created was produced by her in the first couple of sketches she drew and sent to me. I am absolutely amazed that she came up with an image that is so perfect for my site. I could never do that myself (as older readers have noticed...I tried) and I'm eternally grateful to her for doing it.
Thank you to her for the job well done. If you guys like the header, or if just want to see what her art (and life) is all about, stop on over at Julie's site and let her know. I'm delighted to say that, in addition to being a rock-star artist, she's a hell of a lot better writer than I am.
It looks so nice up there...and I feel so professional. Weird, that's how that feels?

I could be wrong , but isn't it between you and me.
I'm confused. Did I do something wrong?
I'm confused too.
Anyway, it looks great Jay, and yes, it fits perfectly!
Thanks for the link and shout-out, Jay.
Just watch out for flying books from the back of the bus...
