McCain says I-35W collapse was due to wasted money...

Star Tribune:

McCain stated that "The bridge in Minneapolis didn't collapse because there wasn't enough money. The bridge in Minneapolis collapsed because so much money was spent on wasteful, unnecessary pork-barrel projects."

I know that the "old man" theme has been played out numerous times. And frankly, I think it's fairly petty. But one has to wonder whether this man is suffering from a fair amount of dementia when he says things like this. I know where he can nab a cool three trillion. I wonder how much infrastructure that could pay for, you old nutbag? I can envision at least one Moveon.org ad.

Again, people, the GOP thinks you're stupid. They will continue to harp about the "entitlement" program spending and champion limited government spending domestically. What about that giant sucking sound you hear from the middle east? Pay no attention, they say. Don't worry about the trillions spent and trillions yet to be spent. The real problem is all the lazy poor people sucking on the government boob. Also pay no attention to the fact that before the neocons came to office, there was a healthy surplus. It's liberal spending...dontchaknow.
