Obama launches abortion radio ad in swing states...

Gotta tell you, I love seeing a Dem candidate go on the offensive instead of just fielding the retarded Republican grounders.

Now, I've never been a fan of "substantive due process", which is the basis for the Roe v. Wade decision. I think it's a nasty bit of judicial fiction that the law could all have done without. However, I also understand that it is now a part of American jurisprudence and, respecting stare decisis like I do, I believe it shouldn't be overturned simply by the perpetual politicizing of the judiciary by the Republicans.

And that being said, I supremely respect the ability of a woman's right to make this type of decision without far right government asshats like Sarah Palin interjecting her Assembly of God religious views upon the masses. It's always hilarious to me how conservatives are perfectly comfortable with religious wackos making decisions about family planning, but they'll rail on about the government figuring out health care.

This is bold. It puts Dems in charge of the abortion debate. He didn't wait around for the Republicans to start to culture warfare like they always did. He took the debate to their doorsteps. And they have no defense. I like it.

Here it is.

Did anyone notice the fact that the economy, healthcare, global warming (which she doesn't believe in), education, (which she believes that creationism should be taught along side science- the Chinese are probably laughing), & foreign affairs weren't even addressed. Once again the issues will be the the "G's", God, Gays, and Guns. They only know how to attack -whether it be opposing candidates or innocent Iraqis. Give me a break= they have no issues to discuss. We are supposed to be fooled into believing that they are different than the past 8 yrs. And I love their campaign buttons. (The hottest VP in the coolest state). Seems to me that is rather sexist. Oh well, my big beef with her as a mother is why the hell would you make your 17 yr old daughter go through this scrutiny. Aren't mothers supposed to protect their offspring? Since she went back to work 2 days after having her Down Syndrome baby, I have real doubts as to her capacity to have empathy towards anyone.
