Old people are bad at the webernets...

Read this story from DailyKos.

Short snippet to highlight conservative douchebaggery:

Remember that hideous green background that McCain was in front of during his acceptance speech? Well, it turns out it was simply a small portion of a larger picture seen by the audience in attendance at the convention. The whole picture was this:

"McCain standing in front of a grand building, not a green screen. And what building could possibly deserve such a prominent role as the main backdrop of McCain's nomination speech? According to TPM readers, it is Walter Reed. As in Walter Reed Middle School in North Hollywood, California.

Wait, what? Did they mean to have an image of Walter Reed Medical Center? Ouch."

Yep, there is a damned good chance that the ad wizards behind the RNC used the WRONG Walter Reed as propaganda. Hold on a second, I can't type while I'm busting a gut.

Of course, there is always a chance for the GOP to explain why this particular middle school was used in such a prominent role, right?

"TPM's Kate Klonick just got off the phone with an official at the school who confirmed this. "We didn't know anything about it until it showed up last night," Cathy McLaughlin, the school's office technician, told Klonick. She confirmed that multiple media outlets have been calling and that a statement would be forthcoming from the school.

There was nothing particular in that stretch of McCain's speech that would explain why this particular image was used."

Hat tip to Talking Points Memo as well, of course. A release from the McCain campaign is forthcoming I guess. Can't wait.

Crosschecked at Digg.com. In the comments below:

"McCain thoroughly vetted that backdrop, and it's sexist for you to suggest otherwise."

I just shit myself.
